Colorado Rockies NHL Throwback Hockey Jerseys

The Colorado Rockies played 6 seasons in Denver from 1976-1982. The Rockies were originally the Kansas City Scouts, that began play in the NHL in 1974. The Scouts moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Denver for the 1976–77 season. The Rockies franchise was finally moved to New Jersey in 1982 and were renamed as the New Jersey Devils. The NHL did not return to Denver until the Quebec Nordiques moved there to become the Colorado Avalanche following the 1994–95 season
